Quality begins with clear requirements

Competitive pricing has little value if the component does not meet its intended requirements. For this reason, EPSS places emphasis on clearly communicating customer specifications and agreed quality requirements to the selected manufacturing source.

Depending on the project, documentation requirements may include:

• Material certificates
• Dimensional inspection reports
• First Article/First-Off inspection
• Process certificates
• Heat-treatment certificates
• Coating/plating certificates
• Inspection photographs
• Packing documentation
• Other customer-specified records

Any inspection, certification or testing requirement must be specified and agreed before production.

Quality requirements are part of the RFQ — not an afterthought.
